Mat is not white, as shown in the pictureJul 08, 2010 The frame is nice, and the impression material works well, but the mat is not white as shown in the picture. It has two sides, one is pink and the other is blue. I think both colors look awful with the frame. The kit comes with a little wooden "rolling pin" that is supposed to be used to roll out the impression material. I do not recommend using it, because the impression material sticks to it, so it's impossible to smooth out. I ended up using one of my plastic baby bottles to roll it out, because the bottle surface is smooth and round, so the impression material doesn't stick to it.
Hugely disappointed! Broken frames...Jul 02, 2010 I never write reviews, but this time I am very disappointed... SO, After reading all good reviews I was very excited when the kits arrived - I ordered two. I thought the frame was supposed to be made of wood, but no - it's made of some cheap wood-like material that crumbles easily. BOTH frames were completely broken when I opened the packages. I am glad Amazon has such easy return process.

Bought the same thing a year ago, and this item is not as good.Jun 15, 2010 I bought this same item a year ago for when my son was first born. I thought it would be neat to do one again for his first birthday to place side by side. I don't like this one as much as the one that I received last year. This one's bigger, and I ordered the one with the black frame, which was supposed to come with a black background. Instead it came with baby blue on one side and pink on the other. I am very disappointed. Now I need to rig it up with black poster board or something else so it will actually match the other one, even though on the picture on the website it shows the black frame with the black background. I was very frustrated. Now that I opened it all the way up I can't return it without cost. I like the item, but don't like that I have to tweek it to make it be what it was supposed to be in the first place.

where's the black background?Apr 14, 2010 I have two frames that I purchased for my two older children that are just like the picture- with a black background for the footprint area. But unfortunately, this product comes with baby pink and blue backgrounds. I had to go out and buy black posterboard in order for the frame to match the others. fyi to those of you wanting the black background.
frameMar 28, 2010 Liked it, but was trying to match a similar frame from Red envelope that had 3 openings
