When looking for bed rails for our son's first "big boy" bed I was shocked at the number of bed rails that did not work with a platform bed. I was a little reluctant to buys these just due to the price difference however I am so pleased that I did. They fit extremely well and there is no way my son will be able to move them. They are worth the money and although some people were frustrated with the assembly I found it to be very easy!

I originally purchased this item for use on my daughter's crib that converts to a daybed. I didn't realize that it would cover the entire length of the bed which meant she couldn't get in and out on her own. We are now using it on a twin bed and it works well. My only complaint is that when it is folded down, it doesn't fold flat against the bed. Maybe it does in a mattress that isn't inset in the frame.

I bought this rail for my 2 1/2 year old daughter, after we got her her first fullsize daybed. It works perfectly - no problems at all. I did a lot of research because not all rails work with bunkie boards and daybeds, but this is exactly what I was looking for.
Be sure to follow installation instructions word for word!
This rail is NOT for babies!!!

My three and a half year old granddaughter has transitioned from a bedside co-sleeper, to a convertible crib with a Kidco safety rail, when the front of the crib was removed, to a two piece twin bed using this Dex products bed rail.
This is a very useful safety device when properly used. The child should be capable of getting into and out of bed on their own and not think the bed rail is a climbing toy.
It looks like most of the negative reviews were posted by parents who didn't observe the safety warnings posted on the box and on the enclosed instructions.
Bottom line. It works well when used as directed.

We use this rail on our king size bed to protect our daughter from rolling off the bed when she sleeps there.
