Are you old enough to remember when training pants were made of terry cloth?
I am now using these pants with my 3rd child. I love them. They are soft and snuggly, padded in the middle for absorption, and come in cute little prints that kids love.
The middle of the pant is double-layered, absorbs urine moderately well, and are easy to wash in the laundry. I currently have 15 pair, and hoping to not have to buy more (if my little one would use the potty). But if we do need more, I know I can trust the quality of this product. Also, they hold up very well. I have several pair left-over from my last child, and they are still almost as good as new. This product withstands the test of time, and the test of poop, lol.
The only down side is, you will likely need to cover this with plastic pants. The plastic pants have been changed and I am not at all satisfied with the new PEVA pants. I prefer the old vinyl, which don't exist anymore.

Great underwear. I don't know why these are so hard to find, but I wouldn't put anything else on my daughter who is potty trained, but not yet 100% reliable. The extra layers of cotton catch small accidents.

After reading the reviews on different training pants, I decided to buy one packet of Gerber training pants to try for my three year old boy. They are very soft and comfortable. Not too bulky and fit nicely for my son. So I bought another two packets of them. So we have nine pants for him to change. I agree with the other reviewers that for training pants, it is better not to be too absorbent as pull-ups, otherwise, it defeats the training purpose and will prolong the training process. My son was quite ready for potty training before I bought these pants. so he was successfully potty trained in about three weeks. He only occasionally wet his pants during long naps or if sometimes he could not get fast enough to go to potty/toilet. He likes them and still wears them as underwear. We are very satified with the quality and the price is very reasonable compared to other similar products. Highly recommended.

These training pants are a great way to wean you child off diapers. It has the extra padding that regular jockey underwear doesn't have so its not as messy when an accident occurs.
I wish they were easier to find. I could only find them at Amazon. No stores that I went to carried this item.
