Of all the Zanzibar items in my son's room, this is the most obvious. It really solidified the theme in the room, even before we had many of the accessories. Two complaints:
-There are some scratchy spots- like there are nylon threads sticking up. Not painful but irritating.
-This rug travels remarkably fast! I can place it 2 feet away from my son's bed, and by the next day it's halfway under his bed, just from walking on it. It really needs some backing that grabs a bit more.
But I'd definitely buy this again (and I did buy one of a different theme for my other son's room- same pros, same problems).

I love the look of the rug. My son thinks it's great it really ties in with everything we've got going so far but since the day I bought it, it smells. Like a cross between burnt rubber and cat pee. I've tried washing it. I've treated it with febreeze. i dont' know if it's due to a treatment on the backing of the rug or if something contaminated it. For the life of me I can't get rid of it.
