Short lived - mildly convenient- labor intensiveAug 26, 2010 seriously disappointed! The concept is great but as noted in other reviews- you get one shot at using it before you have to boil it again for 1/2 an hour. I used mine 3-4 times and then the seal broke, the crystals were exposed and it is permanently deactivated and trash! Sad. I guess if you have specific goals and realistic expectations- it could come in handy.

Great if you know what to expectFeb 11, 2010 Once you understand how they work, you can use them quite effectively. I bought two of the Lionhearts for flying cross-country (very limited formula-warming options) with my 7 mo old. I scoured the Web for reviews and found they were 50-50, for/against; decided to give them a try. No, they don't heat a bottle from refrigerator-cold. Yes, from room temperature (such as the sealed, 6 oz. travel bottles of Enfamil that I brought) in about 20 minutes. For car travel, the best system I've found is to insert an already-warm bottle in the UN-activated sleeve; when the bottles are starting to cool, activate the crystals to keep the bottle warm for up to 3 more hours - longer if you keep the warmer itself bundled up in something. Right when you get to your destination, boil down the crystal-filled wraps again so they're ready to go next time. It's really no big deal. It's somewhat easy to trigger the chemicals by accident, so just handle the warmers gently. All in all, these work quite well for what they are -- especially in the absence of ANTHING ELSE out there. Note the zipper doesn't 'quite' go over the top of Dr. Brown's bottle caps.

It works but...Mar 05, 2009 I've been using this product for a few months now & it works for me (I'm using glass bottles). Found it for $9.99 at Walmart & decided it was worth trying out. Some things to remember: make sure you boil the item for 20 min in a rolling boil (if the water is not hot enough, the unit will not reactivate), make sure it has reverted back to a liquid state before taking it out of hot water (if there are any solid "crystals" left, it will automatically activate & turn solid again), be careful carrying it in your bag- pressing the metal disc will activate it. Cons: Having to boil it for 20 min. is a bit of a hassle and it is also a bit heavy. Pros: No batteries or wires.
Would not buy this againJan 08, 2009 I bought this at the same time as a plug in car warmer. I used this exactly twice. Well, actually only once, because the second time when I went to use it, it was already activated and therefore useless. It's bulky and doesn't make good contact with the bottle, so the heat transfer is poor. I found it to only be useful to keep a warm bottle warm, and not to actually warm a cold one up. Boiling it to reset it is a pain. Not worth the money.
